I’m Jay Rogers and I hope you enjoy my work. Although my official home is in Austin, my wife and I divide our time between Austin, Angel Fire NM, and now Montepulciano. I have to say that Italy has inspired me when it comes to photography and art. As you can see, I like to bring a little art to my images. I want to capture not just a scene, but a feeling. First of all, I believe that everyone sees and especially remembers a scene differently. While one can attempt to photograph a landscape, the result rarely lives up to what you remember. I believe a painter using watercolors can almost always capture the feel of a scene better than the best camera. This is what I try to bring to my images.
